Lighthouse Grounds - 36x36 - Oil on Canvas

As a nature lover, interesting subject matter isn't difficult to find, but the real  enjoyment is in conjuring up 'what if' scenarios. What if a beautiful day out on a boat was threatened by a distant storm? What if one tree could be made to look    like the matriarch of the entire forest? What if a person's scarf was whisked away in a gust of wind? Would I be able to capture the mood of those moments?  ​That's the basis of my enthusiasm for painting and drawing.

I'm starting with a bare bones website. The next steps are to show 'works in progress' maybe even include projects that didn't work out - and the reasons why. I'd like to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse of studio life too - so, stay tuned.
